Shorts Track Skipper icon

Skip the reruns

Block recycled Shorts music.

Shorts Track Skipper watches YouTube's song credit and quietly skips any Short that plays something you've already muted. There's no onboarding, no extra UI--just a Block Track button that sits in the Shorts action bar next to Like, Dislike, and Comment.

Works anywhere Chrome extensions run; Firefox and Safari builds are on the roadmap.

Install it where you browse

One extension package works across every Chromium browser.

What you get

A tight feature set built for people who actually watch Shorts.

  • Action bar block button. Drops a "Block track" control right into the Shorts action bar beside the standard like/dislike buttons, so you never dig through extra menus.
  • Automatic skip flow. When a muted song reappears, the extension (optionally) drops a dislike, rolls to the next Short, and updates the skip counter.
  • Local stats + quick search. Block list entries live in chrome.storage, along with skip counts and toggle states, and every row exposes one-click YouTube + Spotify searches.

Local-first data promise

Shorts Track Skipper never phones home. The block list, toggle states, and skip counters only touch Chrome's sync/local storage APIs, meaning nothing leaves your browser profile.

  • No accounts, analytics, or remote API calls.
  • Reset everything from the options page whenever you want a clean slate.
